Day 37

A friend of mine came to visit today, and we went to see the Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science. Unfortunately, the place was really crowded and we hadn't booked our tickets ahead of time, so we ended up with a few hours of free time to kill before the exhibit. So we got lunch, and then stopped by Mike's Pastry in the North End. I got a box of random cookies, including some fantastic rainbow cookies (and the one on the right is an apricot cookie - also very tasty!).

Heute bin ich mit einer Freundin zum Science Museum gegangen um die Harry Potter Ausstellung zu besuchen. Leider war das Museum so voll dass wir nicht gleich reinkonnten, sondern erst mal ein paar Stunden "Freizeit" hatten (nächstes Mal werden wir unsere Tickets im Vorraus buchen!). Gelangweilt haben wir uns allerdings trotzdem nicht, weil wir nach dem Mittagessen ins "North End" geschlendert sind. Das ist der italienische Stadtteil Bostons, und da gibt es die "Mike's Pastry" Bäckerei! Ich habe eine Schachtel mit verschiedenen Keksen gekauft, und es gab auch italienische "Rainbow Cookies." Die schmecken hauptsächlich nach Mandel und Marzipan (lecker!) und der Keks rechts im Bild hat eine Aprikosenfüllung (auch sehr gut!).
